Optimistic outlook towards life gives positive effects
Winston Churchill said,
‘Pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity and optimistic sees the opportunity in every difficulty’.
Several researches have been conducted to analyze whether optimism leads to healthy life or not. In nut shell, the inferences proved that optimism is a way to lead healthier and happier long life. Optimism is directly connected to positive effects. More optimistic means happier and healthier life. The positive effects of optimistic approach are scientifically proven. It has been proven by scientific researches that pessimistic mindset causes health challenges including weak immunity system, cancer etc. A research was published by American journal of Epidemiology.
The research was based on to find relation between positive sense of well-being and better health. Researchers collected data of 70,201 women. Researchers asked different questions from these women. For example, in critical situation, what you will expect’. The death of these women were tracked and they concluded that women within positive attitude lived longer than pessimistic women. In fact it’s scientifically proven than optimism has deep effects on biological system. The author of the study and research fellow at the Harvard T.H chain school of Public said about optimistic people,
”When they face life challenges, they create contingency plans, plans for future challenges and accept what can’t be changed”.
It can be undoubtedly said our attitude towards life determines life’s attitude towards us. Optimism and pessimism are two realities of our life. Optimistic vision can lead towards happier, healthier life. Optimism plays crucial role in the recovery of from diseases. Multiple studies have been conducted to analyze the role of optimism in recovery of patients. Researches have depicted that optimism predicted less distress and disruption of normal life. It will be certainly helpful to lead healthier life if we learn to maintain a positive attitude during stressful times. Learning to be optimistic can take some time but surely the time is not far when a person commence responding to stressful situation in natural way.
